COHEN & COMPANY SECURITIES ANNOUNCES NEW AGENCY MORTGAGE BACKED SECURITIES TRADING EFFORT

Philadelphia, PA and New York, NY – July 13, 2009 – Cohen & Company Securities, LLC (“Cohen & Company Securities”), Cohen & Company’s registered broker-dealer, is pleased to announce that Peter Incledon has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Agency Mortgage Securities Trading. Peter will be responsible for building both a new issue and secondary agency business for Cohen & Company Securities. Peter comes to Cohen & Company Securities with a wealth of experience in the agency mortgage securities arena. Peter spent more than a decade as a senior member of Bear Stearns’ highly respected mortgage trading team. From there he moved to JP Morgan Securities where he was the head of agency CMO trading, responsible for a large staff of traders and support personnel and for managing a multi-billion dollar position. Just prior to joining Cohen & Company Securities, Peter managed a mortgage securities hedge fund for Mariner Capital.
