Philadelphia, PA and London, UK – November 2, 2009 – EuroDekania Management Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cohen & Company, is pleased to announce new hires for its European Capital Markets business.

Linda Koster has joined the firm as Managing Director – Head of Credit Sales and Origination: Benelux and France; and Head of Origination and Distribution: Asset Management Products, Europe. Linda will join the Executive Committees of Cohen & Company’s Asset Management and Capital Markets divisions. Linda has extensive experience in fixed income sales having held Managing Director positions at Merrill Lynch and more recently at Goldman Sachs. She brings strong institutional relationships and in-depth knowledge of corporate credit, structured products and alternative assets. Linda will initially be based in London relocating to the Paris office in the fall of 2010.

Michael Freilich has joined the firm as a Managing Director – Credit Sales and Origination, to cover institutional clients in the UK and Ireland. Mike has over 24 years of experience in credit sales, having worked at Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and most recently at Heritage Capital, prior to joining Cohen & Company.

Mehrin Karim has joined the firm as Director – Credit Sales and Origination, to cover institutional clients in the UK and Ireland. Prior to joining Cohen & Company, Mehrin worked in sales at Societe General’s Structured Solutions team, and before that at Morgan Stanley in the Structured Credit sales team. Mehrin has both buy-side and legal experience, having worked as an asset-backed securities investment portfolio manager at ABN Amro and attorney at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Paul Murphy has joined the firm as Managing Director – Credit Trading. Paul will trade flow credit products – investment grade corporate and financials. Paul traded European credit products for over 20 years, having previously worked at Bear Stearns, Nikko Securities, Mizuho International and Nomura.

Henrik Woergaard has joined the firm as Managing Director – Head of Sales and Origination: Nordic Region. Henrik has over 20 years of experience in fixed income sales exclusively focused on Scandinavian investors. Prior to joining Cohen & Company, Henrik worked at Citibank, BNP, Greenwich NatWest, Lehman Brothers, Commerzbank, and Bank of America.
